Dr. Nhat Truong Nguyen from the Friedrich-Alexander-University (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, wins the Schwäbisch Gmünd Prize for young scientists 2018 based on his research: Thermal dewetting of noble metals on anodic TiO2 nanotubes leads to significantly enhanced photocatalytic H2 generation. Prize ceremony and invited talk will be during SMT32/east forum 2018, 27-29 June, San Sebastián, Spain.

Paper: “Efficient Photocatalytic H2 Evolution: Controlled Dewetting–Dealloying to Fabricate Site-Selective High-Activity Nanoporous Au Particles on Highly Ordered TiO2 Nanotube Arrays” Advanced Materials 2015, 27, 3208-3215.
